A Message from the Principal of Shands Elementary

My name is Fernando Rubio, Jr., and I am honored to serve as the principal of Shands Elementary. At Shands, we believe every student deserves an exceptional education in a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where they are known, challenged, and supported. Our theme, Champions for Kids, reflects our commitment to ensuring every student is known, supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve excellence. We are proud to partner with our families because we know that when schools and families work together, students thrive.

As your principal, I want you to know what you can expect from me. I make three promises to every Shands family:
