🗳️ ICYMI: What Voters Need to Know About Mesquite ISD Proposition A

On November 3, Mesquite ISD voters will consider Proposition A, a Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). If approved, Proposition A is projected to generate approximately $16 million in additional operating revenue each year. The additional funding would support recruiting and retaining educators and staff, student programs and opportunities, and district-wide safety and security. Learn more about Proposition A here. 

🌟 64 AP Scholars and More Recognized at September Board Meeting

Student and staff recognitions resumed at the September Board Meeting with 64 Advanced Placement (AP) scholars among those recognized for earning AP Scholar with Honor, AP Scholar with Distinction or AP Capstone Diploma honors. Read the full list of special recognitions here.  

🏆 Mesquite ISD Athletics Formally Inducts Class of 2026 into Hall of Honor

Mesquite ISD Athletics celebrated a new chapter in its rich athletic history on Friday, September 4, as the Class of 2026 was formally inducted into the Mesquite ISD Athletics Hall of Honor. Click here to read more about the newest inductees.

🤼 Get on the Mat: Youth Wrestling Camp

Ready to get on the mat? Incoming 1st–6th graders are invited to join MISD Athletics for the District Youth Wrestling Camp for an evening of wrestling games and skill-building!

Whether they're new to wrestling or looking to sharpen their skills, campers will get moving, learn from MISD wrestling coaches and have plenty of fun along the way.

📍 MISD Wrestling Facility - 329 E. Davis St., Mesquite
💲 $10  (+ $1 online platform fee) 

All campers are required to wear athletic attire.

🧑‍🍳 MHS Culinary Students Serve Winning Recipe at AT&T Stadium

Mesquite High School Culinary Arts students took their award-winning recipe from the competition kitchen to AT&T Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 20, serving fans during a Dallas Cowboys game.

The opportunity followed the students’ first-place finish in the Taste of the Cowboys Youth Challenge last spring. As the winning team, the students earned the chance to prepare and serve their chicken birria tacos at a Cowboys game, along with $10,000 for the MHS Culinary Arts program. Learn more about this unforgettable achievement and experience!

⏰ 10 AM-1 PM | 📍Town East Mall (parking lot behind Macy’s & JCPenney) 
After the race, join us for a FREE community event featuring an exciting Kids Zone, Mesquite ISD CTE showcase, games and activities, a Scholastic Book Fair, food trucks, candy and much more! Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the event. 🔗 Learn more about the event here.
